Washington D.C. Council Bill 240710 (Prior Session Legislation)
As introduced Bill 24-710 would require that after January 1, 2023 new building construction, or improvements to a facade of the building’s exterior wall and other elements use bird friendly materials. DCRA is required to issue regulations to implement the act in consultation with DOEE. It also establishes the Bird Friendly Buildings Fund to support building owners with compliance with the act.
